Our Philosophy
Human relationships are very fragile things. Successful communication, both in business and private contexts, is an achievement: like a raw egg that remains whole and does not break. The art of leaving the egg intact is one of Eva Ullmann’s primary occupations. Her trainings contain tools and exercises to achieve this. She trains companies (such as the Sachsen LB and the University Hospital in Leipzig) and gives stimulating lectures at numerous occasions and for different institutions or companies. Additionally, she teaches communication to medicine students, where she focuses on the practical implementation of skills such as active listening, through, for example, role-play that focuses on doctor-patient relationships. The point is to expand the participants' practical skills, not only to convey knowledge.
Humour is another raw egg. Making people laugh is an art in itself: finding a kind of humour that people share, which does not offend and is not at the expense of others. This is an art perfected only by a few stand-up comedians, comic strip artists and humorists. The German Institute for Humour's training courses work with a mixture of solid science and lively entertainment. There is nothing more productive than the participants' laughter. Our training concepts are especially developed for specific institutions or companies.
